Crowell & Moring, a Washington, DC-based law firm, has launched Crowell GovCon Strategies, a government contracting strategy consulting firm.

The new consultancy will provide integrated business and legal solutions to guide companies through the strategy, pursuit, and execution of federal procurements. It includes former US government contracting officers, government contracts attorneys, and business analytics.

“Crowell GovCon Strategies provides our clients with an integrated approach that combines comprehensive business advice with sophisticated legal counsel to identify opportunities, win new procurements, perform in compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements, and plan for the future of their business,” said Steve McBrady, a partner in Crowell’s government contracts group.

Crowell GovCon Strategies’ offerings include procurement opportunity identification, market research, proposal development, M&A, public policy, compliance, cybersecurity requirements, IP rights, international trade, and terminations.

The consulting firm will be led by president Kate Robb, a contracting officer in defense acquisition who has overseen more than $30 billion in contract awards over nearly two decades. She was previously a principal at federal consultancy Deep Water Point & Associates, a contracting officer at Naval Information Warfare Systems Command, and a supervisory contracting officer at Naval Seas Systems Command.
